User and Role Management

Authorization Concept of the multisource•api

The multisource•api's authorization concept enables flexible and customizable permission configurations tailored to specific use cases and requirements. Permissions can be defined during setup and adjusted at any time.

Three Levels of Authorization

Data Sources

The first level defines access to specific data sources, including:

  • Directory Data

  • Relocation Notifications

  • Building Data

  • Consumer Data

  • Business Data

API Functions

The second level regulates permissions for individual API functions.

For instance:

A client who does not need additional criteria will not have access to the "Enrich Function."

Additional Criteria

The third level involves over 200 available additional criteria. These can be: defined down to the individual criterion.

Predefined Permission Presets

Several predefined permission sets are available, which can be adapted to suit specific projects and requirements.

Roles and Users

Default Role: Each customer is assigned one default role. Additional users with specific permissions can also be created.

Best Practices:

  • One or two users are generally optimal.

  • It is recommended to define permissions for functions within the customer’s CRM to ensure employees have access only to relevant functions.

Example:

  • A customer care employee may have access to the search function but not to the "Enrich with Additional Criteria" function.

  • A marketing manager, however, can be granted access to additional functions.

Flexible Setup and Adjustments

The authorization concept is defined during setup and can be easily adjusted at any time to accommodate changing requirements.
